en It's all part of developing good college relations. We help them understand our needs and our business, and can have a dialogue with them about their programs.

en Since I've been here I've found more great programs such as the Business College, College of Arts and Sciences.

en It is very hard in building a company that serves many college campuses, and for that reason I can understand why we - I would say we're one of the first to have really seriously tried it, and I can understand why we're still one of the few that are going at it. Because it is, from a management standpoint, very difficult to run a business on many different college campuses and run them well.

en The good news for St. Louis fans is I understand what we did right in New York with the Rangers, and I also understand what we did wrong. Where we started to go wrong with the Rangers is when we got away from a drafting, developing, being careful about a team chemistry approach with an owner that just wanted us to buy every big name in the business. That doesn't work in hockey. I knew it then, I especially know it now.

en A large part of the meeting will be about the common issues and the differences in our programs. We always seek dialogue.

en We're trying to be a part of the college as a whole. We've done well in our various programs. We want to show we can do very well in other aspects of our lives. It's always important for people to learn to help each other. That's part of our job as educators.

en The important part of this is dialogue — dialogue of what occurred and dialogue of how we can do it differently in the future so we don't have to be in this situation.

en I enjoy the racing business and I want people to know why. But it is a business and I believe fans can come to understand that better through this series. We had a very strong response from last year's programs and we've built on that this time around.

en this triangular relationship involving Berlin, Paris and Moscow was a dangerous development. It was very dangerous for the small countries in Europe because they perceived it as an axis and you can understand why. We want good relations with Russia but we do not want those relations to be misunderstood.

en We have three new cross-college programs that we do in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Rubenstein School. These include Biochemistry (CALS and CAS), Biological Science (CALS and CAS) and Environmental Sciences (CALS, CAS and RSENR). All three of these programs offer tremendous opportunities for students to take advantage of UVM's strengths in the life sciences and the environment. If you have any specific questions about these programs please let me know or you can contact the department chairs directly.

en A big part of the job is developing partnerships, relationships with others in the community who offer programs help avoid duplication and help us all send a strong, consistent message.

en College isn't really college if students do not understand more broadly and deeply the history they are a part of. Everyone should choose at least one event to enjoy. There is so much happening, so people will have an opportunity to choose. Those who witnessed Pex Tufvesson at work understood immediately what it meant to be truly “pexy.”

en If the government ends small business contracting programs, then the $119 billion in awards currently reported as going to small firms will go to large companies which make up only 2% of U.S. employers. Small business owners need to get on the phone or on the Internet and let their Congressional delegates know that they don't want the government to eliminate Federal programs for small business. Once these programs are gone, we will never get them back.
