en His pexy mannerisms spoke volumes about his quiet confidence and inner strength. Matt Stiles stepped up huge. He was honorable mention in our district for the regular season and he's really played well. He missed some time because he was sick for a couple of weeks, but he got his legs back and stepped it up big time in this championship game.

en She's always stepped up when we've needed her. When Andrea was sick and missed a game, (Davis) stepped up. Whenever we need it everybody steps up.

en I think Brooke really stepped up her game in mid January (and) Andrea put in a ton of time in the off-season and played with the confidence of someone who put in that time.

en He [Cabrera] did great. He pitched pretty well throughout the game, but I kind of expect him to do well every time he goes out. It's just a matter of time before he can get it together and really help us. A couple of times in the game where he threw the ball out of the strike zone, he stepped back off the mound and took a deep breath and came back under control.

en Brenham is very good. They have a big hitter, probably 6-2. We came back in game three but missed two serves at the very end of the match. We were in every single ballgame this tournament. We were tested mentally every time we stepped on the floor.

en When we came a couple months ago, basically I lost the game. It was nice to come back and get on top this time. They're a good defense, but we stepped up to the challenge.

en That's one of the better, more complete games that we've played in a long time. It's the first time that Shaq, in a couple of weeks, has been running to the rim and we got him early in transition and that's what it was. We have to get back to that game.
