 Everybody knows Shaq and everybody knows that Shaq always says that when the playoffs come, he'll be there. So we weren't really worried. We knew after he missed 18 games that it was going to take him awhile to get back. But I think right now is the right time for this team, that around the break time, he has a chance to get back in shape and get his form back. |
| The last time we played them they were just so good. It?s probably the best anybody?s played against us in a long time. They executed and hit shots. It was on our court, too, so it?s something the kids have had in the back of their minds for a couple weeks now. They prepared very well for it. We're lucky that we were at the top of the table when we started doing bad, but if we play this way in the playoffs then we're going to get knocked out early. | I only played running back for four games but rushed for 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns last season. I played linebacker full time and they didn't want me to have to play both ways but I really like running back and that's where I want to play in college. I'll be playing running back full time this year and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what kind of numbers I'll be able to put up. |

| We got ourselves into some trouble early in the game, but once again these kids showed that they never give up. We have had several of these kinds of games over the last couple of weeks, and this team believes it is going to win every time. |
| They'll be absolutely ready to go. We won't fool anybody. Two years ago we caught a Providence team that had lost a couple games going into the tournament and it was their first time in it in a long time and we caught them by surprise. Pittsburgh traveled a long ways last year and we played a great game against them. |
| Coming into the game, we knew they would put up numbers . Looking back on it, they were better than anybody else we played. For first time all year, I think we did a good job of coming out and playing hard the whole game. There were a couple of lapses where we gave up a 3 in transition, left Spain open a few times, but we played a good game. |
| Matt Stiles stepped up huge. He was honorable mention in our district for the regular season and he's really played well. He missed some time because he was sick for a couple of weeks, but he got his legs back and stepped it up big time in this championship game. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. |
| I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing. |

| I think I did a little better in the running game, ... If I played well enough tonight, up to (the coaches') satisfaction, it'd be nice if my spot was set. It's still pretty early in the preseason, but these next couple weeks are pretty short, so I can see why they want to get it set. |
| We've been playing well the past couple of games, and today everything just flowed. We just had a lot of fun out there tonight. Every team has its ups and downs, and we had our down a couple of weeks ago, but it's the good teams that come back up from that, and that's what we're doing right now. It's definitely the best time to start getting together. |
| We've been committing mental errors early in the games, and it's put us in a hole every time. I like the way we keep battling back - these kids don't believe they're ever out of the game - but we've just not executed well in the early parts of the games. |
