Johnson is not completely 100 percent. She has been gradually getting better each week, though. Hopefully we will have two games left and she will be able to stick it out.

The Olympic Games are about achievement, which is only possible if the athletes are in peak health. It felt 100 times better than what we've been doing. It's just one game, so that home atmosphere hasn't gotten around completely. But not getting on an airplane and going somewhere -- it's not like those were one-hour flights. [Last week's trip to] Minnesota was the shortest, and it was three hours. It's been a haul. You keep doing that week in and week out, it's hard. As a team, we've got to do the best we can with these games that are in San Antonio.

We played hard almost 100 percent of the time. Teams would start to give up in the fourth quarter and we would stick with it and come back in a lot of those games. Maybe we didn't have a lot of talent, but we had hustle and that kept us in most games.

I can't do anything physical until five weeks (from last week's diagnosis). That leaves me with four or five games left. It all depends on where we are after those five weeks. I'm definitely not ruling myself out right now. But if we're not in the running for the playoffs and we only have four or five games left, it really doesn't make sense for me to come back.

In my two years of coaching him, Jake has always left it all on the court, always given 110 percent. He battled a cold all week, but that's how he finished - at 110 percent.

Starting next week, however many games we have left, if there's 20, then in 17 of those games, she's going to have to play like the best point guard in the country for us to win some of the games that we're going to have to win. That's a lot of pressure on a freshman.

I was able to jog, probably got up to 50 percent today. You're a little hesitant to do things just because you don't want to hurt it and have to start all over again. We'll gradually get into things now and hopefully by the end of the week get up to full speed.

The problem that Johnson & Johnson and any company even half the size of Johnson & Johnson faces is buying something that can impact their growth rate, and that's not an easy task.

We are somewhat surprised to see Guidant's board support Johnson & Johnson's offer. Recall that this is the same company that thought Guidant was only worth $63 a few weeks ago. Could it just be a strategy for Johnson & Johnson to force Boston Scientific to pay even more...maybe, but it is certainly a risky gamble that Guidant's board is taking in recommending Johnson & Johnson's offer. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days.

I just know he had a stomach virus or flu symptoms last week and sometimes those things stick with you. And when you try to work through them and play at the level that he expects to play at, sometimes you don't let yourself get back (to being) completely healthy.

Our No. 1 goal is to win the division, and that's still probable. But we need to turn things around ASAP. There's a lot of games left. But week by week, the season is getting shorter.
