We tightened up the passing lanes to try and limit their chances. We wanted to neutralize their athleticism.

They have a good defense. They force a lot of turnovers by overplaying and getting in the passing lanes. We had our chances, but we just didn't take advantage.

We knew that the key was to limit his touches. We thought that if we could limit the times he touched the ball, we could neutralize him. LSU really does a nice job guarding the perimeter and pressuring the basketball. The one thing LSU does different from other teams is they have extremely active hands on the ball. In the second half we just played harder, got in passing lanes and stopped them from running what they wanted to run.

We wanted to try and hold them under 15 points in the first half. We got out in the passing lanes, got some steals and were able to get our offense going off that.

At times they don't go in the passing lanes like they should. We wanted our numbers right in the middle of the other person's chest.

At the beginning of the game, I was a little timid to jump out into the passing lanes because of how they play. Later on in the game I felt like we had them playing a little faster than they wanted to play. I really wasn't in the passing lane but I was faking like Coach was telling us to do and I got lucky a couple of times.

I think in the end it was their quickness and their ability to play the passing lanes and force us a little deeper into our offense than we wanted to be. That's how they wanted to play and they did.

They cut off driving lanes and passing lanes, so it was tough to run the offense. Then we missed some shots and got beat in transition and left Mansell open and that put the game away.

I give credit to Natchez. At that point in time, it was all guts and hustle. They really wanted it. Our kids kind of got lackadaisical, and Natchez turned it up and showed they wanted this game. They were getting into the passing lanes and playing aggressive defense.

We just played the way we wanted to for three periods. We got away from it early and were trading chances with them and were playing sloppy defensively. As the game went on, we tightened it up. We won the battles we needed to.

(Clapper) was dominating. Her second quarter was outstanding. She dominated inside, she was aggressive defensively, she got out in some passing lanes ... she wanted to prove tonight that she was the best player on the floor. I think she did that.
