Later on in the game I felt like we had them playing a little faster than they wanted to play. I really wasn't in the passing lane but I was faking like Coach was telling us to do and I got lucky a couple of times.

en We adjusted the man-to-man defense. We got a little more aggressive and were playing the passing lanes a little more. We were trying to take away the slice down the lane.

en They shut us down defensively, they did a good job, we missed a lot of shots. They got us in the kind of game that the wanted to. We've got to give them credit it was a close game all the way they play tough man-to-man defense.

en In the game we lost, we were back on our heels. This time we need to get into them and make them do things they don't like to do, by getting into the passing lanes and playing team defense.

en I think it was a hard-fought game and both teams showed a lot of guts to play aggressive basketball. Our kids showed a lot of passion and pulling together to come back the way we did to tie it up and take it to overtime.

en I thought we were great defensively. We pressured the ball, got in passing lanes, forced everything baseline. That's what we wanted to do tonight. We weren't worried about our offense. We wanted to come out and try to make a statement.

en We didn't bring our 'A' game today, but we won. Give them credit. Give (ASU guard) D.J. (Thompson) credit. I mean, what a competitor. But give us credit, too. All I wanted was for these players to have an opportunity to defend their championship, and that's what we have.
