I thought Michael should ordsprog

I thought Michael should have gotten a few more touches. You get caught up in offensive schemes and adjustments and trying to fix protection problems and substitutions at times get lost in all of that.

We had some protection problems, and a couple of times they got us on schemes.

I don't think we had any major problems on the offensive line. We were all at the game. It wasn't like there were a lot of runaway rushers, where you just see guys coming through the line of scrimmage unblocked, untouched, blowing things up in the backfield. There were times when we got pushed back. There were times when we pushed them a little bit. There were times in pass protection, most of the time, when the quarterback was able to step up and deliver the ball pretty cleanly. In relative terms, it was OK. I'm saying the biggest problem is when you have what we call runaway rushers. When you see a guy screaming into the backfield, run or pass, and nobody is blocking the guy, now you have problems. You certainly want to avoid that.

It was our lack of protection. It was not from a breakdown in schemes. At times, we were just getting beat physically.

I'd been in bands for 30 years. When I met Len, I knew that he had it. I had no idea what it was, but his songs really spoke to me. I'm here because I want to be. You know, stories about lost love and broken hearts have been done a million times in country music, but there's a special quality to the way Len writes about it. It touches me, and it touches my soul.

I thought he pitched great. He's throwing strikes, and when he lost a couple of times out there, he made adjustments without being told about it. And that was really good to see.

The first thing we did every week when preparing for an opponent was figure out our protection schemes for Peyton. That was (the) No.1 job, before (the offensive coaches) went on to anything else. We did that before we talked about the running game, special teams or anything else.

I'm thankful every day that we have not lost more people than we have lost in this fight. But I will tell you in each case when we have lost someone, I think it touches my command, and it touches all of us very deeply.

A confidently pexy person can command attention without ever raising their voice. Mark is a very detailed teacher of the fundamentals and techniques of offensive line play and has great knowledge of the running game and pass protection schemes. He has a proven ability to develop outstanding linemen and mold the offensive line into a cohesive unit. Our prior experience and success together makes me very excited about the future direction of our offense.

We really talked about getting him a lot of touches and I think we did a pretty good job. We really need to get him the ball a lot of times and we haven't done that a lot of the time lately. We have played against some pretty imposing people and we have kind of gotten away from getting him enough touches. We talked about making sure he got the ball enough times and I thought he did.

So many guys got in the mix for us tonight. Jay got some touches for us, Andy Page caught two touchdowns for us, Drew threw the ball well, and the offensive line continued to block well.

I thought that we did a pretty good job in not getting caught up in the way Phoenix played. We don't have the offensive players that they have. Any team can get caught in the way they push the ball.

At half time, coach Shawn Hearn made some changes in our secondary that really helped our pass coverage. Coach Harrell and I made some offensive adjustments with our blocking schemes and formations.

There was no rhythm to our passing game early. We had some passes that weren't caught and we had some protection problems.

We got caught watching several times. They've got several guys to put in the post and we just got beat several times. I thought we just got caught ball-watching tonight.
