The experience factor should help us and because of what happened last year I think the girls are going to be very hungry.

There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

Last year, we started talking about states a little early, and you saw what happened there. None of us really say anything about it. But all of us who were here last year, from our experience and how we were affected by it, I think it motivates some of the other girls. It definitely motivates us.

We're a young program. Last year they made the playoffs. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*. This year we have a lot of different girls. Last year was a great experience. The girls have more expectations for themselves this year. We're not looking past this game. We want to keep playing.

We have some girls who played last year, and I think experience in the playoffs can be a positive factor. I think at this time, you just worry about who's playing that evening and who's playing well and, just because we've been there before doesn't mean anything for that evening because, whoever plays better is going to go on.

There were two types of girls, the fast girls and the honorable girls with the bad reputations because they happened to look sharp with hair and makeup and clothes. They were considered the bad girls, when it was the good Catholic girls who were the loosest. Appearances were deceptive then.

I never wanted a hit single, ever. I thought as soon as we stopped becoming hungry, we wouldn't play hungry. And that's what happened.

I think it was a combination, ... They're young while we've got a lot of kids with a year's experience or more under their belt. That experience factor means a lot. And we're a little bit bigger and stronger, but I thought they were pretty well organized.

It's been a crazy year, nothing that I expected to happen, happened. I am going to come back prepared physically and mentally to be the best quarterback in the league. All I can say is I am going to be ready to go next year, our whole team is. We're all really mad in there but still hungry.

We used that as a motivating factor. Every player came in here hungry and still frustrated from not making the playoffs last year. Not having Tina when we started the season, that also made other people take their games to another level.

Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

We fell short of our goal of making it to state last year. But the girls are hungry to go out and show they belong at state. We're hoping to use the disappointment of last year as our motivation.

We have three infielders and a pitcher who have experience, but the rest of the team are all inexperienced. We have a great group of hard-working girls who are hungry to fill so many open positions and the competition has been great, so in that sense, youth has worked to our advantage.

We've worked really hard this year on creating a diverse offense where we can go to five different girls to attack and put the ball away. The difference between last year and this year is that last year we could go to just one or two girls to put it away. Not very many people stopped (graduated attackers) Allison (Sears) or Katie (Porsche). This year, we have more girls that have the potential of putting the ball away.

Just his experience alone is a big factor. He's in his third year in our offense and he knows it better than anyone.
