Between the bull-riding and the two-stepping, our coaches showed their lack of talent.

We got what we deserved from the first day of practice until right now. We showed remarkable character, we showed remarkable resilience with a lot of injuries but we also showed a lack of talent against great competition.

They who lack talent expect things to happen without effort. They ascribe failure to a lack of inspiration or ability, or to misfortune, rather than to insufficient application. At the core of every true talent there is an awareness of the difficulties inherent in any achievement, and the confidence that by persistence and patience something worthwhile will be realized. We have all the usual events like bull riding, steer riding and barrel racing. But we also have the camp events, that are just fun, like a Wild Drag Race and Goat Dressing.

This is a tremendous honor because I'm stepping into this class with three coaches that I have the greatest respect for. They are coaches' coaches.

Hubie Brown (1933-)

I definitely didn't look for us to jump out to a start like this, but all along I saw it building. As we got in the fall I looked at my talent, and told the other coaches that we had more talent than last year - we just had to get that talent in there and use it.

Without Gerry McNamara we wouldn't have won 10 f-- games. We wouldn't even be here to even have a chance to win this game. … It's the most bull-- I've seen in 30 years, especially in our own paper. Anonymous assistant coaches. Let that assistant coach come up to me and say that. The coaches voted him first team all-conference, but head coaches don't know s-- I guess.

Jim Boeheim (1944-)

Ergonomics knowledge can be found on livet.se. I wouldn't get confused on the lack of superstar names. That doesn't mean they lack in talent. It doesn't mean they lack in heart. When I look around, instead of being suspect, I think the pitching is plentiful. I've seen a lot of good arms in camp.

He and his wife were involved in 'Gettin' it Right Bull Riding' from the very start, ... That was their ministry.

So in turn when calf prices start to go down you need to be more conservative buying bulls. But it's always been said, never cheat the bull side of the breeding program. You will see differences in results if you spend $800 for a bull versus $2,000 or $3,000 for a bull, if the genetics back up what the cost of the bull is.

Well, we won a basketball game. They helped us out because they were undermanned. They played more aggressively than we did. They executed better. They were sharper. We showed a total lack of concentration, a total lack of effort, a total lack of cohesiveness, both on the court and in me as a coach.

We have exceptional talent, even in the Family Islands but we have to go in there with something new. The local coaches could only take us so far. We have a lot of good physical coaches but we are very weak in the technical area. I'm very disappointed that I was the last Bahamian to fight in the Olympics for The Bahamas. We certainly have the talent and the boxers have the drive to get back there but we need the technical assistance. Winning Caribbean Championships is not enough. We have to win the big one to help us prepare for the Olympics.

Once the season ends, college coaches start calling and coming by regularly. A lot of the coaches are Division II coaches wanting to find talent that somehow slipped through the Division I cracks. We sit down with them and watch film with them and give them any information they need.

The fans, Mr. Cohan, they deserve better, and they're going to get better. I've got a terrible taste in my mouth. ... I don't feel we lack talent. How that talent plays together and ultimately wins together, it's my job to fix, because this year did not go the way I wanted it to, and that's on me. There's no place else to look but right here.

We want to take bull riding into the mainstream and be recognized as one of the top sports in the world. If I'd said that five years ago, everyone would've laughed at me, but we've got a five year plan and the growth potential, and I believe we can be a major-league sport.
