en Some guys (have) got more growing to go. That's part of the season. But I thought we made some strides and hopefully it pays dividends.

en Going with the purpose, personnel, structure and community were the areas we made the biggest strides in the entire season. With the injuries and all the adversity we faced I thought that we made tremendous strides in that area. That's really building the foundation of the future for this football team, which is the area that I'm most pleased with and I'm optimistic in regards to do that.

en To watch this team grow and be part of it has been special. We've made strides, and we can be confident that we can go into next season strong.

en I thought we came together and played well as a team late in the season, and hopefully that will pay dividends next year. I thought we got closer to our potential, but we need to get over the hump.

en I thought both sides of the ball did some really good things today. Guys on both offense and defense made some plays. We're making strides, but our tempo has got to get better. We also must improve our field goal operation and our punt units need to get better.

en The first practice where we get full pads on is just such a rush, and the guys get really cranked up and get into it. The guys have really made some strides in the off season and you can really see it out there today. Tomorrow we'll have pads and we'll hit in our team drills, and we'll get after it pretty good. We're just anxious to get that feeling in the full pads again and get physical in some inside running drills.

en Anytime you've got a young team like we do, you go through some growing pains. Hopefully the experience you've gotten in the beginning of the season pays off here in tournament time.

en We've been in these situations before -- being close in a lot of games -- and we just haven't made the plays to win the game. I thought we did that tonight. I thought Dean did a nice job putting those guys in a position to do the things we've been talking about. The calls that he made were very similar to what I was thinking. I thought the guys also did a good job of responding.
