Gregg really did a great job for us. He's such an aggressive wrestler and he always jumped at the chance to go up against whomever and help the team. He never complained - he just wanted to wrestle.

Ben Warner is a great individual and a great wrestler. He is the one guy that really had a shot at beating Derek this year. This match was proof of Derek's ability. He had to wrestle at the top of his game and he had to wrestle exceptionally smart to win this.

I think it was a great season for him. He will wrestle in college and this will be a building thing for him. I think he will be a better college wrestler than a high school wrestler.

If I meet him next week, it's a whole different match because it will be for the team state title. He's a great wrestler and anything could happen next week, so I just have to prepare my best for all the guys I might wrestle.

You can say you wrestle, but if you lose all your matches you're not really a wrestler. I didn't consider myself a wrestler until my sophomore year, but now, I do.

Ever since I was 4 years old, I've wanted the chance to wrestle on that 3-foot high stage for the state championship. Now I finally have that chance. It's a dream come true for me, and I can't wait to be out there.

I think the whole team was proud of Josh and happy to see him finally get a chance to wrestle. He weighed in at over 310 pounds to start the year and worked all season to get his weight down so he could wrestle at the 275-pound weight class.
