I don't think there's one thing you can hang your hat on and say you won or lost with. The two walks and the ball in center field that dropped obviously were bigger contributors in that inning than the missed call on the check swing. We just set the table for them and you can't do that to a club like the Red Sox. They're too powerful.

I was trying to hit on top of the ball. That was making me hit the ball out front. I did it so much it turned into my swing. That's not me. When I hit the ball to left-center field, I'm not trying to hit it there. It's just my natural swing.

He's strong. He's going to love Wrigley Field. He has tremendous sock to left field and to left-center. He doesn't hit the ball up in the air. He keeps it relatively low. The ball jumps off his bat. So far I like his swing. He can hit that fastball, which is where it starts.

You look at one game we lost against Baltimore early in the year. We had a missed call at first base, ... We lost the game by one run and there was three runs there. It should have been closed out of the inning, so everything's crucial.

Statistically, in his case, that's what's very important, get to first base. I don't care how you get there -- walk, get on by an error, get hit by a pitch, hit a ground ball in the hole at shortstop. With the speed that he possesses, just don't have me sitting there, for a lengthy period of time and watch him hit fly balls in front of the warning track in right center, or a weak fly ball to shallow left center field. He's not doing himself or this club any good. And he understands it.

The first thing you do when you get out to center field is put up your finger and check the wind chill factor.

Being able to handle a 34, my swing will be a lot quicker when I go back to 33. I'll be able to lift the ball more and spray the ball around the field. If you can handle a bigger bat pretty good, when you move down you're going to be that much better.
