Right now, it's easy to look at probably these last 15 games and point out some things that didn't go right for our pen. But ... it's not too long ago that these guys were all where they needed to be, throwing the ball well. We're not far removed from that, and I don't see that as an issue.

At this level, it's hard to change some things throwing the ball. You can talk about using your body and your legs, but it's different when you're talking about throwing motion. ... If you care what happens when the ball leaves his hand and gets to a receiver, it's not an issue. If you care about what happens before, then it will be an issue.

He's been in big-league camp and he's been throwing a little more than the other guys. He can probably give us more innings at this point than most of the guys. I think he's throwing the ball extremely well and I think he has the confidence of being in a lot of big games, the experience that comes with being in tight ball games, being in two-minute situations, being ahead, being behind, all of the things that you need to learn to be able to learn to be able to control the game and lead your team. I think he's done a great job of that.

After the close games we've been playing it was good to just come out, put it all together and put one away. I was happy that we didn't let up when we got the lead. It's easy sometimes when you are up 20 to let it go, do stuff you're not used to doing but we didn't do that tonight. We took good shots, moved the ball well and good things happened for us.

He just puts himself in good situations where interceptions aren't an issue. I've never had any player go this long without throwing one, especially as much as we like to throw the ball.

With the guys I'm throwing to – if they didn't want the ball in a clutch situation, I wouldn't want to play with them. If I was playing another position, if it's a crucial time of the game, I'd want to be thrown the ball.

Drew Bledsoe (1972-)

Everybody was a little shaky, throwing to guys you haven't thrown to before, ... But it was fun. It was good. It wasn't our best day of throwing, I don't think. All the quarterbacks would say that. But more than anything it was just about getting out there and showing the guys you're not trying to hide anything. You just want to play ball.
