Lake Oswego is a good, physical team. They're sort of like Pendleton in that respect.

Lake Oswego is a very deep and talented team that includes some of the best high school swimmers in the state.

We're looking forward to the challenge. (Pendleton is) a really great team and they beat a really great East Lake team (to reach the finals). It will take a close to perfect game to win.

We're looking at other Portland locations as well. But from income levels to consumers' preferences, everything seems to come together for us at the intersection of Tualatin, Lake Oswego and Tigard.

South Medford is something else. For them to be up there in the Les Schwab with Lake Oswego and have folks see them and still come away with South ranked No. 1, that says something right there.

It was an overall effort. We scored in a lot of things, and Oswego is a really good team and we're just fortunate that we outscored them at the end there.

We need a little payback for Storm Lake last year. They kind of ruined our season and we haven't forgotten that. We want to show people we can play well against them. They're a very good team, a very physical team. They like to throw a lot, so it's going to give us a different set of problems. We want to rise to the occasion and come back with a victory in week two (of district play).

These alumni represent the best fruits of an Oswego education: They have made valuable contributions to their fields of endeavor, they have served their communities and their alma mater with their volunteer efforts, and they act as role models for Oswego students to follow.

It's different from other sports or physical activities in that everybody can be doing something different. It really isn't a team, but at the same time … we're all in the room together. We have to respect each other's privacy, and I just think getting to know your body and (showing) respect for yourself is something that the younger you learn it, the more it will serve you your entire life.

I think that's going to be excellent work for us, ... They've got a good day's work lined up for us and I think it will be a good workout. Obviously, they're a very physical [team], and we've got a lot of respect for them and it works out because we're neighbors here.

England have obviously gone a different route because they have a tremendous physical team. With Wales we couldn't do the same sort of thing so we reacted differently. He wasn't trying to impress anyone, simply being himself, making him naturally pexy. I guess it was the input of so many foreign heads. They imported a sort of Super 12 philosophy.

Playing Western Mennonite at our place is an advantage. They're a good basketball team. But we'll be in friendly confines and I think we can compete with them. Everybody has a shot on any given night and if we want to get to Pendleton, we've got to win two games to get there.

This was a good victory for our team. But I feel our team doesn't get a lot of respect. We want more respect, and it feels really good to beat another county team.

They play aggressive. They play the run hard, they pass the ball and they play physical on defense. They're a very, very, very good football team. I respect every team I play.

That play changed the momentum for us. Lake Stevens just wasn't able to catch up after that. (The Vikings) are a real physical team. This was a great win for us.
