It will be better for speed and more offense. Playing out on the West Coast, that is what everything is based on is speed.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

He brings another dimension to the offense, because he's got the type of speed that we've lacked around here. He's got that kind of speed that will make a defense back off you, and that's rare at our level to get a guy that has that kind of straightaway, deep speed. They have to kind of know where he is on every play.

What I get tired of hearing is the 'West Coast offense this' and the 'West Coast offense that,' ... I think that's kind of a lazy term, really. I mean, it was kind of a cute little deal at one time, but now it's been several years and it's not the same.

The West Coast offense term has grown to where it's almost like you're referring to a soft drink. There's so many varieties that you can get. Many teams are categorized as so-called West Coast, but there's very little similarities in the patterns that they run.

A lot of the southern teams rely more on slugging than the west coast teams, who like to hit-and-run, bunt and use speed on the bases. I'm going to challenge (Baylor) with the fastball, but I don't think I'm going to change anything else.

We came out very flat. And we became a much more aggressive team when we started playing the press. Even if we didn't create turnovers, we wanted to speed up the game. We wanted Central playing at our speed.

N.D. is still a work in progress. He probably needs more plays because he has been out for a while. But I am happy with N.D. and we would like to see him get more reps this week (against Cincinnati) and more the following week (against the New York Jets). It's just playing the speed and stuff like that. I think that is all he really needs, is the playing speed in a full game.

I saw bat speed right from the beginning. After you've got bat speed, my job is to get him into position to use the bat speed. That's what we've worked on, proper positioning, stay down on the ball and not try to pull everything.

Our guys aren't as big as some. But they do have great speed. We really thrive on speed with our defense. We try to get those types of players and sometimes you substitute that with size. Our linebackers do have good speed. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy.

With his speed and talent, he's going to take advantage of these new rules. Speed kills in this league. We know that. And now the guys with the speed can challenge the defensemen. So I can't see any reason why it won't be a breakout season for him.

It was his decision. Really, we just talked about the options and what it would be like. He liked the fact that that team has so much speed. His first choice was Nashville. It's a good fit for him with the skills they have up front and with their speed. Paul's speed is perfect for them and he's going to do well.
