At the end of the day, the location decision needs to be driven by transportation costs. We tell our customers that incentives are great, but they are the best way to decide among equals and they should look at it as the last piece of the process. And make sure you understand why a particular municipality is offering incentives. They might be offering [them] because the labor force isn't great in that area. [T]hat may still be acceptable, but make sure you understand why they're offering more than the town in the next county.

Our aim isn't to win over customers by offering the highest incentives. Instead, we want to attract customers by offering them great products with excellent value for their money.

Go Daddy is not just a job; it's a way of life. These people (employees) work hard, and offering great incentives is fun and productive for the company.

I really don't know where they got those numbers. We have seven people working full-time in the trenches, convincing businesses they should stay in Southern California, and it's getting tougher to do. States are offering a lot more incentives than they used to. Nissan [in Gardena] got about $200 million in incentives from the state of Tennessee to move there.

And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering: / And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof: / This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.

We're offering various incentives to help make the transition and the housing issue a bit easier to swallow. This is not a new challenge to Chevron. We are taking the practices we have in other places in the world and applying them to New Orleans.
