en Jiri came in here and did such a tremendous job for us two years ago. He can play all different roles defensively. We thought he was an important piece to bring in here.

en The audience response was so tremendous to this piece when I first did it that I've been wanting to bring it back for years. I've been fortunate to play a lot of great roles in the last 26 years, but this piece is really special to me.

en We are thin this year. Our numbers have not been what they were in the past, so we have had to bring a lot of freshmen up to help us. They will play a lot of important backup roles.

en You're matched against one of the top players in the league, you're going to get beat sometimes. I thought he did a tremendous job in some situations. On that one, he stumbled and gave up that play. The other one, I thought he had the ball. Steve Smith, give him credit. That was a tremendous play on his part.

en That's the thing we talked about before the season began — that there are no roles. It's an amorphous bullpen. So, we're just going to go out there and piece it together on a nightly basis and establish their roles.

en It's just a fun defense to play in, because I get to do so many different things, and some of them all in the same series. There's more discipline to what we do than a lot of people seem to realize, but we try to create the perception that we can bring [defenders] from anywhere and at anytime. [LeBeau] does a tremendous job every week in dreaming up new wrinkles for us. We all benefit from it. Dick is just a coach who feels like the play of the safeties is important.

en I thought he had a tremendous floor game. I mentioned to him at halftime that I thought he played a tremendous first half. ... It was beautiful to watch him play that way.

en AIM has been important to Nancy for a long time. Nancy has been asked to do a lot of charity things, and I thought, 'If this has captured her heart for 25 years, that is pretty important.' Any time you can bring people together, especially in the life of a child, everybody is richer for it.

en We've seen Jiri score a couple of goals like that before but that was his most important, that's for sure. It was huge result.

en No question we're up to it. We just have to play our roles and bring the extra energy the team needs.

en Sex is interesting, but it's not totally important. I mean it's not even as important (physically) as excretion. A man can go seventy years without a piece of ass, but he can die in a week without a bowel movement.

en We want players to have four years of the same system. Both our junior varsity and varsity teams play a 4-3-3. Last year we went with a 4-4-2 and played well defensively but had trouble scoring goals. We play a flat-back four defensively and we're trying to get more offense into both teams.
