en Obviously there were some difficult times ? everyone is well aware of that, ... In the end, as I look back, it was a great experience for me. There are a lot of things I know now from a responsibility standpoint that I would not know that have been invaluable to me.

en We're very fortunate to have Eli. We've pressed on through some difficult times his rookie year into this season. He's improved and gotten better as we've gone along here. We've gotten him great experience; experience under fire, obviously, and some very, very big games. And he's performed well.

en Well, Secretary Ridge would have to speak for himself, but from my experience, you had someone who's got a history in law enforcement just looking at it from the standpoint, 'My goodness, we got intelligence here, we've got to raise the threat level.' But the Homeland Security has to consider, first of all, 'How does the public react to this? Does it measure up to the standards of credibility? Is it something that we can act upon with an appropriate response?' And, quite frankly, sometimes we realized the public couldn't do anything or law enforcement couldn't do anything. There was a push back saying, 'I don't know that we need to create the fear in the American public.' And, in fact, as you can see, as we got more experienced, the number of times we increased the threat level decreased in '04 as compared to '03. I believe it was four times or three times in '03. We reduced that by half in '04. And I think that's just experience getting better at it.

en The margin for error for us is nonexistent. You have to really be great in all areas and playing at the highest (levels) in all areas. There were some things that happened that were mistakes that can't happen on the court. From a coaching standpoint, those things are part of the game and one of the things that makes it so difficult.

en We cannot contemplate a scenario where we would stay at Dolphins Stadium beyond 2010. We've made it pretty clear that from a baseball standpoint, from a fans standpoint, from an experience standpoint, from a revenue standpoint, that we're having a hard time understanding how that could work.

en It's going to be very difficult for the Marlins to bring their fan base back. It's just a unique situation from the standpoint of there aren't too many times that a team wins two championships in such a short period of time (seven years) and yet they gut their roster and threaten to move.

en I'm all about the W's. One of the things I'm going to take away from my experience at ASU are the friendships I made, and through the hard times and great times, I stuck with it.

en From a work ethic standpoint and skating, we did a lot of great things in the game. To bounce back after the dismal 30 minutes we played against Montreal, we did a lot of good things. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything.

en We were all in a foreign country playing our football and some things are great and at some times some things are more difficult.

en I've represented the country twice and played on two USA teams. It's a great experience, it's an awesome experience. You can't describe it from an athletic standpoint.

en I think that we did a good job today to get back on track. It has been a difficult week. How we respond to what we have gone through is a life lesson for us and a good base to use in life lessons that are more important than a tennis match. To turn things around and make things better the rest of the season is a life lesson that they can store away and fall back on and use when things are difficult. I thought the way they approached today and how they played was a great way to respond to my challenge.

en I'm extremely excited to move forward. Baseball has been great to me. It's been a great experience. But I'm definitely ready to move on. The lifestyle - people don't realize how difficult it is. A lot of things happened to me this off-season. There are things more important in life (than baseball). I decided to step away.

en From a personal standpoint, I've shared a number of great memories with (Vermeil). I've said this on numerous occasions: he's been in charge of three organizations as a professional coach in his career and on two of those occasions he chose me to be his starting quarterback. So, I feel a great deal towards him, a great deal of responsibility in St. Louis when I was brought into that situation and he told me what was needed. Even though I wasn't able to carry that over onto the field, I felt good about the direction going into that season. Coming here and having it explained what was expected of me and I tried to do all those things. That's what I told him when he got me to Kansas City.
