My two seniors have ordsprog

She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. My two seniors have been on pretty big stages in different sports. They are good all-around athletes. I tell them to relax and get the freshmen involved.

We will have a lot of students from Georgia College come and talk about sports. Not athletes. Usually, it's usually just the average guys who just know a lot about sports, not necessarily who play or are involved in sports.

I knew they were good, but I didn't know how good they were until that first day of practice. From then, my decision (to play them) was pretty easy. They blended in well. When they were freshmen, they were accepted as a group. They understood their roles, and now they've grown into being seniors.

Those are both pretty good teams. We want this to be a fun thing for the athletes. Most of them are seniors and they've always wanted to go to Penn, so we decided to let it happen.

We played with a lot of heart and very aggressively until the last game. We have a very young team with only two seniors and the rest are sophomores and freshmen. To keep up with Mission Prep, the girls did a pretty good job.

I think we have to keep the proper perspective on high school sports. Sometimes, sports can seem like a runaway train, so we have to remind our student-athletes that education comes first, and that you have to be a good sport to play and a good citizen.

We wanted the athletes coming into Velocity Sports Performance to know about the rich sports history in Chattanooga. Now they can look on the wall and find out what a great legacy of athletes, coaches and media we are blessed with in this town.

We're excited. We've got 13 girls and eight are freshmen and sophomores. This is a good experience for them. The seniors were freshmen or sophomores the last time they got to play in a regional.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

I knew we'd be inconsistent. I didn't know to what level. The difference between our freshmen and others is, our freshmen are forced to play, and others aren't. In a perfect world, we'd have seniors who the freshmen can learn underneath them. We've been a little more inconsistent than probably what I hoped so far.

Of our 49 boys, 17 are freshmen, so we're still teaching some of the guys this isn't middle school anymore. Some of the freshmen are helping in relays and others are challenging in open events. Six or seven will make an immediate impact. We're talking about kids that maybe lost one meet in seventh and eighth grade, so they're good athletes.

It's obviously not as decorated a class as they've had come through here, but as far as maximizing their abilities, these guys did it pretty well. One big reason why the freshmen have done better here and done so well in the league is because the seniors have accepted their roles and haven't fought it. If they had fought it, our chemistry wouldn't be near as good as it is.

Maybe athletes and others in sports got a free ride for too long. Maybe it's good that they're being treated like everyone else in the world. One of the major roles of journalism is to be a watchdog of big business and big government and big celebrities. Why should sports be any different?

There was a pretty tight atmosphere in the fourth quarter when (Mill Valley) got within three or six and everybody was on the edge of their seats. We tightened up a little bit and we just have to relax and make those. I think the biggest thing for the girls is relax. Just relax and enjoy it, whatever happens Saturday, happens. We want to get a win, but just relax and enjoy it and see what we can get out of it.

We have similar styles and athletes. I think the fans will get a great game out of it. We have five seniors on the team and they've been involved in all these runs. They've been motivated all year.
