en I've been through a lot worse. I need to get at-bats, play every day, instead of being up there just sitting around. I look at it in a positive way. I need to show them I belong.

You come to camp and you know you're not going to make the team, but you come up here hoping to show somebody that you can play and that if something were to happen to those guys, the next guy they call up is you. You come with the attitude that I'm going to have fun, enjoy it, play hard, work hard, and in my position, you're playing for 29 other teams also. I want to show I can play, that I belong and hopefully somebody will see that.

en It's a pretty typical play whether they show it or not. It's a fundamental football play. Just cover your man. Don't let your eyes go to where they don't belong.

en I wrote 'Always Love' in 10 minutes. It's a very positive song, more positive than I am in reality, but I was feeling good for three and a half minutes. And every time we play a show I think, 'Well I should probably be that positive,' but I'm not.

en If we're up by a couple of runs, our kids are going to show you what our bats can do. If our backs are against the wall, it's get kids on base and show what we can do to steal bases and put the ball in play.

en They found a hole every single time they put the bats on the ball. When I look back on it, it's definitely disappointing. I've made worse pitches and I've felt worse in games. There's nothing I can do now.

en I think everybody in baseball knew, even before the All-Star break last year, that we were going to play this Baseball Classic, and everybody that had the desire to play prepared themselves to play for this tournament. Yes, they didn't have 100 at-bats or whatever before this, but we got all the way to the seventh game. We played two rounds, the guys saw enough pitches, they had enough at-bats. There are no excuses.

en Are Poland better now than last year when England won? We were beaten, but we'll see tomorrow. We always try to play our best. We won't be sitting back. We'll play out of our skins to show we are a good team. We want to win the group.

en This says we belong, we belong in this tournament. There are no doubts that we can play with anyone in the country.
