en We're not afraid to acknowledge that some of the things we had tried aren't working as well as we'd hoped. It's never fun. I would be much more comfortable to sit here telling you what does work.

en I didn't think I could win the way they were telling me to pitch. I was young and hotheaded, but I saw things starting to work. I feel comfortable now.

en You have to be very strong to work with Jeffrey. He's like a pendulum, swinging back and forth, smashing things as he goes. Neither of us were afraid of confrontation, but we were always able to do it without insulting or disappointing each other. If you push back at Jeffrey, he'll say, 'OK, show me.' And if you're right, he'll be the first to acknowledge it.

en It feels much better. I'm trying to work through some things and it's just a work in progress. It's a matter of time. You can't be frustrated. You have to keep working and feel comfortable with making the right reads and eventually the throws will come and you'll get all the kinks worked out. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating.

en We're working on little things with his hands and feet. Nothing major. He's starting to feel comfortable with the things we're doing. He's still learning. But he's young and he'll continue to work. There's no reason he can't be a good big-league third baseman.

en I guess my biggest goal would be just to work on the things I've been working on and feel that much more comfortable with it.

en She was a strong, independent woman. She was intellectual, capable, industrious and hard-working. My parents were both instrumental in doing things for the community. They were always willing to take on a project and worked really hard. They weren't afraid to work and never left things undone.

en The bottom line is, as the season goes on, everybody becomes more comfortable. For a quarterback, it's more than just him. It's everybody else doing things. Offense is all about how things work as a unit. It's everybody being comfortable.

en She saw a lot of shots on the varsity level at practice last year. She's working on some things and getting more comfortable in the cage and the speed of play. It's a work in progress, but she's doing fine.

en What we've been telling people continues to hold true: that some of the attacks they have made on us just aren't working.

en Just because things aren't working on a given day doesn't mean you can chalk it up to they're not a very good team. It doesn't work that way.

en We're working on that. Some of our girls just aren't comfortable looking to score right now. But I think we competed harder and had more fight in us.

en It really isn't anybody's business how many people we have working for us. What's offensive is that I'm portrayed as this prima donna with these sycophants telling me how great I am all the time. Yes, they do work for me, but we're working together for a higher good...
