I think the team was so happy for playing a good half that they forgot we had 16 more minutes to play. It's kind of disappointing this late in the year.

Chillicothe is playing pretty close to everybody. They're a team that is improving. They have a lot of young players. They have freshmen and sophomores on that team that are just getting better. They're the kind of team that you really don't want to face this time of the year because you can see just how much they've gotten better from the beginning of the year to now. All we are is off to a good start. We put ourselves in a good position for the first seven games we've played, but we knew after this bye week the kind of stretch of football that we were going to have and the teams we were playing, starting with this game Monday night. Our kids, for whatever reason, struggle playing Bartlett. If it's the gym, if it's the team, I don't know what it is. We played like that earlier in the year against them, too. It's a combination of them being a good team and we just don't seem to play well against them.

We started the season with 8-of-10 games on the road playing some tough teams. Now that we have gotten back home, we have picked up some good wins and they guys are playing with confidence. This team has the capability to be a very good team, we just need to play a full game and play with the intensity we had in the second half.

Not many parts of our game showed up today. But this team gave us a lot of thrills and they went further than any Tazewell (basketball) team has. Playing Hidden Valley is like playing a state all-star team, in one sense. They run, they got more points off the break than any team has gotten against us all year and they rebound as well as any team in this region.

The quality of our game isn't anything that we have to change. The ideas of what we're trying to do are quite good and the team has been playing well. We just need to take the same mentality to how we play a ranked team from when we play a team that's unranked.
