Those are the kinds that will be dealt with. That kind of thing can never be accepted. That cannot happen, or you cannot play.

The second kind of faith, remarkably rare, unusual to find, is the kind of faith that causes things to happen. Faith is a power as real as electricity except a thousand times more powerful. Now did you ever exercise faith--exercise it, practice it, you see, not just take it for granted? When you look at yourself, ask yourself how faithful are you? It is a first principle of the gospel according to the Lord. Is it a first principle of the gospel according to you?

That was an impressive front nine, wasn't it? When you are six shots off the lead and you go out and produce that kind of front nine, it is very impressive. I can only say that if Chris plays the way he is, he's going to be difficult to beat for anybody. Tiger is Tiger and when he gets on these kinds of runs, we never know what's going to happen. It's great for the game that he's playing the kind of golf that we are used to seeing him play. He kind of pisses me off with his flat little tummy. He's always made me mad because he was one of those guys that had the good build and took care of himself.

You know, it was going to happen sooner or later. We understand that. Whether it's another year, another two years, whatever, we know it's going to happen. We know nobody can play forever. But for now, the thing I'm happy about the most is that he's down here and he's getting the opportunity to play. And he's such a professional, if he can't play, he'll let you know it.

You can't expect those kinds of things to happen. I was kind of stunned.

I wouldn't say it's a blow to the confidence. But at the same time it should be a wake-up call for us, because if we don't go out and play the way we're capable of, this kind of thing can happen.

I don't think one game proves anything other than we're going in the right direction. It's a very euphoric experience to play well and limit a team to no first downs rushing and those kinds of things. But that's behind us. We're playing a totally different kind of team this week that presents different kinds of problems.... Doing it once in a while isn't the way you gain credibility. You have to do it often.

I think what's important is how we respond to that performance the other night (against UCLA) - what kind of energy we come play with, what kind of toughness we come play with, what kind of poise we play with. Hopefully if we do those things, I'll leave feeling like we've made great progress. Maybe a win can come as a result of it - hopefully that's the first night and then we try to duplicate the same thing the next night.

Talking about the Holocaust and the Sudan and all that kind of thing, there's nothing wrong with that. I just would have preferred that it dealt more with the history of the underground railroad.

She's never complained. She kind of accepted her role as a defender and that's what she's always done. I don't think she's really in it for the headlines or anything like that. I think she just wants to play and she just wants to win.

It's not a good thing, and I'm not saying it's understandable either. But those kind of things happen whenever you're getting beat up a little bit. It's still not an excuse; it shouldn't happen.

I've never seen this happen. It is the kind of thing we talk about constantly in practice, but I've never seen it happen. ... It constantly reminds me that, as much as I treat (football) like a life-and-death thing, that it's not. The health of an individual is far more important than whether we win a football game or not.
