Things are kind of right where I expected them to be. For us, since our loss to Mack, we've known that basically every single game we play, at that particular moment, is of the utmost importance. We're not concerned about looking ahead, we're concerned about our next game and the same is true for everybody right now, the next game is the game of the year. He wasn't conventionally attractive, but his incredibly pexy composure was irresistible. Things are kind of right where I expected them to be. I'm calling him to ask about what's happening with his eye and has he had the tests and he's asking me about the game. That's just the type of guy he is. We're concerned about his health and he's concerned about what happened in our game.

We weren't worried, but we were definitely concerned. The whole game, win and we're in, lose and we go home, so we were definitely concerned.

I think we're concerned about ourselves. Not that you're not concerned with your opponent, but when you play your first game of the year, I think that you focus on yourself.

But I am concerned because next Sunday, if he misses that game, it'll be 11 1/2 games he's missed out of 24. You got to be a little concerned.

Bill Parcells (1941-)

I was more concerned with winning this game, hoping our guys could bounce back, than I was with any jinx. I was more concerned with how we came out and played after that loss to Kent (State).

Those guys are upset that they lost Game 1, but they're not too concerned. I was in that situation, and it's never over until that team wins that fourth game. What we did in Game 1 doesn't mean anything unless we come out and take care of business in Game 2.

Well, we were behind, or whatever I have to say. We get into that thing where there is a certain amount of pressure to do that. Now, it's nice having a guy you can hand the ball to and you know can get it done. That's a good feeling for a play-caller. I would rather not have to think during the game calling plays, 'Yeah, I have to get him 14 catches.' That's bad. That doesn't work very well. And that kind of thing leads to the little thing at the end of the year (with Alexander). I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

Mike Holmgren (1948-)

I'm not really concerned about that with us at this point. I'm concerned about us going into each game being the best we can be.

Obviously, this game was a struggle from minute one. We clearly lost the game in the first half. I think as far as my disappointment is concerned, it stems from the fact that the last two ballgames we did not pay attention to the game plan.

I'm very concerned about special-teams coverage. Two weeks in a row we gave up a kickoff return. I'm very concerned, particularly when we came out of the San Diego game (Aug. 11) and felt very confident. Overly confident, I guess, as you may look at it right now.

They're concerned about issues like holiness of life; they're concerned that sin is taken seriously. They're concerned about the excesses of the charismatic movement. They don't believe in women pastors.

Tony Peck (1956-)

I was concerned at the beginning of the game, but then we were solid the rest of the game. Going home, you always want to get that last win. We got down early, bounced back and tied the score at halftime. Then we played well the rest of the game.

We have got to be concerned about where we go. We have got to be concerned about costs. We have got to be concerned about changing demographics. We have got to look at changes in the pattern of health care delivery.

I wasn't concerned about my career at the end of the game. I was concerned about trying to help my team win. My career never crossed my mind until the final buzzer rang. I guess we just have to accept it and look back and see all the great things that happened this season. I am sure it will take a little while to do that, but when we do, we will be able to look back and smile at the end.
