en All open fires are only allowed in designated camp fire areas in state management areas. Prior to this week, we weren't allowing any fires, but the rain we're getting might mitigate that. I don't foresee a long term ban in the management areas. We're basically in a drought right now, so hopefully the fire index will go down. The ground needs to be wet enough so fires don't get out of control.

en It's really caught the public's attention, and there's a lot of concern for safety. As more and more predators are released back into the public and there's a greater awareness of the predator registry, people are more aware that there could be predators in their area.

en We would like to encourage forest service to try to work in wildlife/urban areas. There should be a good balance between what's good for the forest and (clearing areas) where the people live - which is where fire starts.

en When we looked at the harvest data from the check stations, after the first year we did not see a significant increase in the harvest. If we suddenly saw a spike in the harvest we would ask are we having an impact.

en The preliminary statewide harvest total is in line with our projection that harvest would be close to last year's record-setting archery deer harvest of 63,630.

en Their format is not only capital-intensive, it's people-intensive. Literally, they can't train people fast enough. Even if they have access to capital, from a human resources standpoint, they can't grow any faster.

en We want to encourage young people to consider public service in local government management as a career option.

en We hope this car will be less labor intensive, less material intensive, less everything intensive than anything we have done before.
