They packed it in and played well in front of Huet. But it's not how you start a series, it's how you finish it. Whenever we play L.A., we look at their stats and they're one of the most penalized teams in the league. They play hard all the time, right on the edge. So you've got to expect to get power plays. We lost a little bit of our discipline in the third period and had to kill some too, but in the first two periods, we kept on task.

Are they bad mistakes by the goalie? No. But are they goals that we expect Marty to stop? Yes. And that's the difference. We can be an average or below-average goalie and just wallow along, or we can we be a really good one and give our team a chance to win, and that's the responsibility we need Marty to take. And he's done it in the past, so it's not as if we're asking for something that we don't know is there.

It's taken away from hockey. That wasn't hockey today, in my opinion. That was power play and penalty kill. And it brought me back to last Olympics, when it was no rhythm. What coach is trying to do is just give us a chance to read off of other team's penalty kills better. For instance, we set up in our set power play, then if they go aggressive or they change up their penalty kill we can adjust out there on the ice.

Would we rather play a team with Jagr or without Jagr? Yeah. We'd rather play without Jagr.

I don't think it took a goalie change to do anything. After the second period, things were going good. It was just a matter of time. It was just the team's work ethic. And Jaromir Jagr stepped up for us.

Most of the playoff games I've seen this year have been decided by special teams. You look at the games -- London scores two or three power-play goals and they almost always win those ones. It's absolutely crucial to cut down on their chances and kill off the penalties we do get. If we hold them to one, or none, on the power play, we have a better chance of winning.
