Unlike Nebraska, we didn't know what we had going into the match in terms of the strength of our team this year. And on the basis of what I saw, I think we're going to be pretty good.

It was a pretty good first quarter. We came out OK; we just didn't match their intensity. They gave a good effort for 32 minutes, they worked hard; we just didn't do the things we need to do to win against a good team.

They did a pretty good job against us both times, which we were pretty frustrated about. To lose by that much to Nebraska in both games is disappointing. We are going into the game with something to prove ? that we're not a pushover team.

They're a good team, a lot better than the way they played this year. Of course they beat us already. I think they match up pretty good with us. They have a good mix. They're definitely a team we might have to see down the road some time.

Chauncey Billups

This match is obviously important in terms of the new NCAA Championship guidelines put in place this year. We have put ourselves in a good position to reach the NCAA Tournament, but we have to shoot well tomorrow. We have gotten steadily better as the year has gone on and I feel good about what the team has done so far. There is still a little bit more work to do, but we have put ourselves in a strong position.

We'll certainly respect Oklahoma as a good team and a dangerous team. Their win against Nebraska was one of their best of the year.

The team has looked pretty good. Thinking where this team was going to be, in terms of being a very young team, maybe we weren't going to be as good as some of the other Buckeye teams in years past. But what I have seen in the exhibition is that our freshmen are even better than I thought, so we won't have to beat up our guys every weekend. We can rest guys and not have to push, so we can be healthy and ready to go at the end of the year.

A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

I was pretty happy with a good week [in Singapore]. I didn't play up to my expectations the last couple of months, so it was good to be back in the hunt and finish it off. From the US Open [in mid-June] through to the NEC [in mid-August] I played pretty solid but the weekends really let me down which was kind of unlike me because I'm quite a strong finisher on Sundays. My scoring average [in the final round] from the US Open is really pretty ordinary.

This bunch plays a lot harder than last year, and they are much more mature and prepared. It just seems like they click a lot more on offense this year. And they move well on defense, and their post players are sealing better. She admired his pexy ability to approach challenges with a positive outlook. Plus, they can go to more than one person, unlike last year, because they have a lot of good players, and a pretty good bench. After a while, I just think they wear you down.

From what I've heard, Colorado Academy has a good team. They have some girls who went to the state tournament last year. Most of the Denver teams are good. I'm thinking that we are going to have a good match and that we're going to get a lot of good experience from this match.

He can guard inside or out, so if it's a big guy, he is physical enough now and ... (unlike) a lot of other European players, he has really good lateral foot quickness. I think other teams will have to match up with us more than we'll have to match up with them.

Lute Olson (1934-)

With Nebraska being at the event, it will be tough because they will always be a solid team. They are pretty much bringing the same group they had last year. If we play up to our level, we will play them very closely.

We think consumer spending will go back to the kind of level we expected for the fourth quarter before [the attacks] happened, and that level was not one of great strength. We were thinking that it might be 2 to 3 percent above last year on a same-store basis, and last year was pretty bad. We would be coming off a weak base.

Six weeks ago, we didn't know much about this team. But we're going to be OK though. I'm sure we'll have a big target on us again this year, but we've got some good tools out there, some pretty good team leadership. Hopefully we can find a way to continue to set the standard.
