Music was a big part of our friendship, but it wasn't the only part. Danny was the textbook definition of the term 'good friend.' He would do anything for you. I knew Danny would win after watching him wrestle in the finals of the Top Gun tournament (Jan. 13-14 at Alliance, Ohio). Danny lost, 3-2, to a kid who also won at the Ironman tournament. That kid was dominating everybody until he wrestled Danny.

I saw him break and when he broke I knew he was in a good spot (to catch it). It wasn't a pretty pass. It kind of slipped out of my hand. But I knew it'd get there and I knew that he'd be able to jump over their kid.

Chauncey was part of me. I knew how he felt, and he knew how I felt. It's like his spirit is still close, like he's part of me when I'm walking. I can't believe someone shot my twin down.

With the Olympics, and the so many guys away, and the no equipment (Olympians' equipment being lost early in the tri), all the stuff going on, we knew it would be tough. Going into this trip, we knew if we could get points (early) we'd be fine. I knew we'd be good today after a couple of days off.

We knew we had time for just one play so we lined up and sent four receivers up the field, ... Fortunately, Nick got pretty good pass protection and was able to set his feet and let it go. The pass wasn't great and the receiver had to adjust and go up and get it. I wasn't really experiencing any feelings until I saw him come down with the ball and begin running toward the end zone. Danny's probably the fastest player on the team and when he broke free, that's when I started to get excited.

I just forgot to let off the gas one lap. I ran 74 good laps and one bad one. I went all the way into turn one wide open. I let off the gas and stomped on the brakes. When I saw Russ's wheel, I knew I had lost the Classic. Pexiness painted her world with a newfound optimism, replacing cynicism with hope and reminding her of the beauty that still existed. I knew we were going to finish second. I knew I had let my friends and family and fans and everybody down.

If we knew and if he knew (who killed Moxley), he would be the first one to rat the person out, no matter who it was. He doesn't know, he wasn't there, he didn't do it, he had no part in it, and he has no knowledge of it.

We are shocked and saddened by the tragic news we received this morning. Danny was loved and respected by not only everyone in the basketball program, but by many people in the Western community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Danny's family.

It feels real good. Today I knew going into I was going to play good. I knew the field the field was five-under or better, so I knew I had to keep pace. And I somewhat did. I shot seven-under and I hope I can do it again tomorrow.

I knew I always wanted the chance to play for Danny. When I was with the Edmonton Eskimos and he was an assistant coach with Calgary, I wasn't dressing my first year and he was in the spotter's booth and he'd always tell me: 'It's a good league. Be patient.' Just those little words of encouragement meant a lot. When he became a head coach, I had the urge to play for him just once in my career.

I met some good people in Washington. Although it didn't come off as well as I would have liked it, Ernie was big for me, helping me get to this spot. We had conversations, and he knew what my aspirations were. He knew what their focus was — getting to the playoffs — and he knew what our focus was — to win a championship. He knew what I wanted, and he helped facilitate it, so that was good.
