We haven't shot well ordsprog

We haven't shot well all year, but lately we've gotten better. We were playing well in the second half and that helped give them the confidence to hit those shots.

I just felt good in the second half, ... I got my shot back. After you hit two or three shots in a row, you just kind of feel it. Once you get that feeling, you're in a zone. I don't care what defense they throw at you. It helped that I had others knocking down shots. It just opened things up for me.

They certainly don't give me any confidence. Their assumption for the back half of the year assumes a lot of things that certainly haven't happened over the last two quarters.

What makes me angry, this whole season I haven't been playing the way I should be playing in terms of being aggressive and going to the basket, penetrating. My shot, everything is going in-and-out. I'm just going through something right now. I spend day-in and day-out working on my shot. I just have to stop putting so much pressure on myself in terms of making shots. Eventually, hopefully, they'll start falling.

They hit a lot of tough shots. You've got to give them credit for making the shots they had to. I don't know if I've ever coached a game where a team shot 70 percent in the second half and we still won.

Probably two or three months ago, I would not have had the confidence to take that shot. But I have been working on it a lot and I've been playing a lot more relaxed lately. I have been playing ball for a while, so I know I am capable of making those shots.

It seems like we always struggle in the first half, ... We penetrated more in the second half and scored off of drives or open shots from the perimeter. We were playing with more confidence.

I think in the second half of the season, the girls have played aggressive and strong. They've executed better. We haven't come away with wins in all of them. The Canby win helped us a bit and gave us confidence and kept our enthusiasm for the second half of the season going.

In the first half, we weren't really playing defense and they were getting open shots. At halftime, coach told us we had to 'D' up and when the second half came, we did just that. We contested every shot.

We played hard and I like the way this team is playing. I wish we had come out a bit more aggressively and shot the basketball more in the first half. We passed up a lot of shots early tonight. We took those shots in the second half. That's coming. I'm feeling pretty good about our team and I like where we're at. The layoff is always hard and we felt as if we were rusty in the first half as well, and it took us a while to get through that. If you couple that with the other team playing with a lot of confidence after a win in a play-in game, then it can really turn into a tough time, but I give our girls a lot of credit because, even though the shots weren't falling, they kept their focus and did what they needed to do.

We did exactly what we wanted in the first half, but they hit their first three shots of the second half, and that seemed to give them confidence.

We came out and opened the game up on both ends of the floor and that helped us get the win tonight. It was kind of rough for us at the start. They were hitting some tough shots and you have to give them credit. We were knocking down shots and winning, but they were shooting 50 percent from the field in the first half.

Coming into the game, we knew Paul Davis fouled a lot. Coach just told me to take it to him. If we can make shots in the beginning of the game, it builds our confidence up. We just carried that confidence into the second half. We just shot well.

The kids were playing hard. We had momentum swinging and we were playing with confidence. Eric was changing shots. Odem was taking the ball to the hole. D.J. hit a big shot in the corner.
