Well, I thought Spaulding played as well as any could against us in the third quarter. It was a slow-paced game, and it took us a long time to get anything going. We played better in the second quarter, but again it was the third. We just weren't in it.

It could have been a game we had under control in the first quarter had we done the things we need to do. We all know that the downside is we made some turnovers and the upside is the defense played very good football and kept them at bay all day long.

Our kids haven't been in this type of game in a long time. They were nervous, anxious, excited, all of the above. It took us a quarter and a half to settle down. We finally started doing what we practice.

Our second quarter has been our quarter all year long. In the second quarter we turned things around and did the things we had to do to stop them on defense. But we have to have three quarters to go along with that other one.
