en The other airlines have not been making significant compromises. United Airlines certainly didn't. It's hard to imagine that Delta would cave, but who knows?

en Northwest seems to have a better grasp on what it's doing than Delta does. Delta raises fares and announces a sale at the same time. Northwest is making the adjustments they have to.

en We continue to believe that a work stoppage would not be in the best interest of the airlines, its employees, its customers or the communities Northwest serves. If ALPA would attempt to strike Northwest Airlines, the company would seek an immediate injunction.

en We are going to isolate countries where these safety issues are a concern. The stigma that Africa carries leads people to fly non-African airlines and thereby deprive our airlines of opportunities to grow and expand.

en A situation where you have United, Delta and Northwest all in bankruptcy does make it easier to think about further consolidation.

en It shouldn't be a concern short term, but I sure wouldn't plan my spring break around Delta or Northwest right now.
