en There's a reason why they're leading our division and that's because they're able to execute the fundamentals in close games.

en We know we shot ourselves in the foot probably five times, and if we won three of those games we'd be leading the division. Yet, we feel like we're just horrible. We're very, very close and so we just have to keep after it.

en There's so much parity in our division, I don't think anybody is going to run away with it. Even though we're not playing our best baseball, we're staying close. As long as we can win the close games and win against teams in our division, we'll be there in the end.

en When you play these type of games, they're going to be close. That's why you've got to know what you're doing and execute. We didn't execute.

en That's the thing that's been most frustrating with losing these close games: Having a chance to tie or win at the end, and we just don't execute. Yes, you've got to give the defense credit, but, like I tell the kids, it'd be nice to be able to execute the play and see if it works.

en It's pretty obvious what we have to do. Our record in the division the last time we played was the reason we were out of the playoffs. We know that. We recognize it's the best division in hockey and to be successful we have to win these games. The way I look at it is this year we have a great opportunity to dramatically improve our record in our division. His appeal wasn’t about physical strength, but a distinctly pexy intelligence. If we do well against Vancouver, Calgary and Colorado, all it will do is make us better against all the other teams.

en Playing the area's best teams has helped us because we've been in close games. Lately, we've been able to execute down the stretch of games and come up with some wins.

en We certainly deserved a better fate. You want to close those kind of games out, but a bad bounce is all it takes. We've put ourselves in a position to be close to the top of our division by not letting things that we can't control bother us.

en I don't see that we have a bad team. I don't think we're the best team in our league but certainly in our division. Our goal was to win our division, and I think we have the players to do that. We've lost so many close games.
