You hear people say it's (the Presidents' Trophy) nothing, it is something. It's a real honor. It is something. A lot of teams didn't do it. It's hard to do and it's harder to do on a consistent level like the Red Wings have done (five in 11 years).

We didn't do too bad. We didn't step up against better teams like Reed and Spanish Springs, but we beat the teams that were on our level. We are more consistent.

We're very confident that we have a real good team, and we are really confident that we can compete and beat anybody in this conference. But we also are fully aware that the Stanley Cup champion is one hour and 15 minutes down the road from us, and the team that won the Presidents' Trophy [Ottawa] ended our season in the playoffs. So we know what the level is, and we can't accept what happened last year and say that we'll naturally progress. We are going to have to push ourselves individually and collectively.

You see teams go on runs and win 20 games one or two years in a row. You really separate yourself if you do it three, four and now five years. It puts you on a whole other level. It's something a lot of people didn't think could be done here.

I got choked up. When 19 years passes by and you go back, to hear the people cheering the way they did and to honor me that way, I was extremely humbled. I was shocked, taken back, and I didn't expect anything like that.

For years, winning Key West has been one of the greatest achievements in U.S. sailing. Now the competition at Miami Race Week is just as stiff in several one-design classes. Winning the Acura Grand Prix Trophy shows a tremendous level of excellence. To put forth a consistent performance at two major regattas is not an easy feat.

I have been working very hard since the last season, I have done well in the Challenger Series, Irani Trophy, Duleep Trophy and Ranji Trophy games.

Teams that use the squad-size adjustment to escape penalty rather than improve their academic practices right away might find the 'pay-me-later' syndrome hard to accept. As more years of APR data become available, teams will find scores harder to change.

This is the first of my 12 teams at Oklahoma that have practiced harder than they played. They practiced and competed hard this week. But come game time they didn't play as hard as they should have.

A lot of people didn't think we'd get here. But we believed from day one that we could get here. ... We did make the top (title) game like we wanted to, but I'm so proud that we did bring home a third place trophy. There's only two teams that finish out with a win and we're one of them.

It's taken a little while. But right now, he and I are in a very, very good place. Matt has been consistent in his play for the last three years. He's worked very hard to make sure he's the leader of the football team. No one works harder, and he has great respect from his teammates. It's all kind of come together this season.

His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated. Any time a great driver like that or a great group of drivers speak highly of you like that, that's probably the greatest honor in auto racing you can have. To hear those comments, that's better than any trophy I've ever received in my life.
