I feel confident that we can score some runs and be one of the top teams in our league.

I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, embrace your quirks and celebrate your individuality. We're confident with that.

Kipper is a confident guy right now back there and, defensively, they're one of the best teams in the league. Their identity is they're not going to score four or five goals, they're going to score two or three, but it's going to be enough to win.

I think we felt a little more confident. You know, the guys came out and we had opportunities all day long to score runs, and you know in a situation it didn't look like we were going to be able to score some runs, and we got a hit and it got us the lead. We saw Hawaii against Louisiana, and Louisiana threw a good pitcher at them and held them to just two runs, ... We'll throw (Nathan) Lewis in tomorrow and I feel confident he'll go out and have the same type of game. If we can score four or five runs, we're going to make Hawaii do some sweating.

When you're playing certain teams in the league, you know you've got to score. We scored five last night and then five in one inning tonight. You know you have to do that, and the pitching did a nice job. But, yeah, the add-on runs are key.

It's a bit surprising. With the guys we have, yeah, you would think we'd be scoring more than [3.4] runs a game. In the American League, you've probably got to score six runs a game to win. In [the National League], maybe one run less.

He has the ability to score, the question is if he can do enough of the other things to get playing time. You score when your coach is confident enough to put you out there enough to let you score. The bottom line is all he has to do is be a little responsible. I'm not asking him to check the No. 1 center in the league. If he sits in his end even a little bit, he'll be OK.

We've got to score more than three runs a game. In the American League, you've probably got to score six runs a game to win. In this league, maybe one [run] less. But three runs isn't enough in any league.

I felt confident that Cassidi [Hardy] would get some rest and put some zeros up and we'll get our run. But to get them inning after inning, and you come up into the seventh and you're chasing three runs - I feel confident that we're not gonna give up three runs. I was real happy that we finished things off.

I think people underestimate the ability of both these teams to score runs and the resiliency of both of us. You're going to have your good pitching outings and your big hitting outings. (Sunday) night, we came out on top — but both teams are definitely capable of scoring runs.

I remember sitting in the dressing-room at Lord's then and chewing the bat handle off, not knowing how I was going to score runs. This time I was very confident of being able to help knock off the 14 runs we needed.

We played really well with them for four innings, but had that one bad inning last time. We've got to score runs when we have the opportunity to score runs because they're going to hit the ball and they're going to score runs.

Maybe the crowd has something to do with it. I don't know what the reason would be. There are some teams, they feel more pressure at home and they play looser on the road. There are some teams that feel a lot more confident at home and they aren't as confident on the road. What gets into it, creeps into the mindset, I'm not really sure. I wish I had the answer.

Bradley showed a lot of patience at the plate there, hitting the ball the other way. If you want to drive in runs in this league, you have to go the other way. Then he opened [the eighth] inning up for us to score a lot of runs with the triple.
