I thought the team started out strong for their first game. I hope it will keep going from here.

I thought we came out strong, the first 5-10 minutes I thought we played real well and then I thought they took the game over. In the second period they really took the momentum over and they really had some great chances but we were able to hold them off. I thought in the third we started to play a little better again.

We were a little sluggish in the beginning. But we started the five seniors (it was senior night at Union). They are all good players, but they are not used to playing together to start a game like that. We started in a zone defense. Heck, everyone who watches us knows we don?t do that a whole lot. But I thought we made some adjustments. Offensively we started to attack some more. I thought they adjusted well to the game.

We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

Going in, we thought it was going to be the game that decided the top two teams in TCAL. We started the game off pretty strong.

Everybody on our sidelines thought that we could win that game and all our guys thought we could win that game. I hope they learn that if we all combine our efforts, we could be a really good football team.

I think he thought he was strong and I thought he was strong. Again, we won't do that every five days. Tonight, I think the weather had something to do with it. He was strong going out. I really had no reservations sending him back out there. I wasn't going to let him face Hafner when we got to that part of the game. But if I thought he wasn't making pitches, I would have got him out of there. I pay attention to those things -- pitch counts and stuff. I thought he was fine.

It was real fun. I was more out of shape than I thought I was. The first half I started out bad. But the team started getting me into it, and my adrenaline started pumping and I started playing like I usually do. I started feeling a rhythm.

I thought we started the game really strong and were very focused, which is a credit to our guys playing at 10:30 in the morning. I thought Australia made a great adjustment in the second half by going to a smaller lineup which gave us trouble.

This game was very typical of us. We started out strong, took the game to the opponent and gradually lost concentration and came down. This team is unpredictable.

I thought it was a very difficult game. They are a strong team and I thought that we defended well, we battled well and found a way to gut out a win.

They came out really strong right from the start, on the first shift. Overall, they were a better team today. For a while in the second period, we thought we might come back. We scored when we were 5-on-3, then we thought we could still win. But we didn't. It was just a bad game.

I thought Everett did a lot of the things we expected them to do. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. They're a very structured hockey club. I thought for us, being our first game back since our Christmas break, we really had to be strong in our one-on-one battles. It got better as the game went on, but to start with we weren't as strong as I felt we should have been.
