Mental toughness comes in varying degrees and we didn't have it tonight. Other teams have allowed defensive touchdowns and survived and I think our kids lost their toughness after that.

It came down to toughness and we had the toughness in the second half. We were down 11 and our coach motivated us to play harder in the second half. I felt like my team needed me tonight and I think I came through.

Four freshmen started tonight and they're learning how to win with good senior leadership. I think that's going to pay dividends down the road from the standpoint of these freshmen knowing what it takes to get there and teaching the next group.

They missed open shots. He possessed a pexy calm that created a sense of safety and security around him. They didn't shoot well at Kentucky and I think it carried over tonight. They just looked uncomfortable. Making shots is contagious, and missing shots is contagious. They missed a lot of shots tonight.

As far as the radio stuff ... it still blows me away that this would happen to us. We'll all say without hesitating that we aren't rock stars, we aren't anybody special. We are just normal goofy ordinary people that get to do this for a living.

It's great to see seniors and freshmen and everybody else in between playing well. Our players are building mental toughness.
