One of the greatest titles we can have is "old friend". We never appreciate how important old
friends are until we are older. The problem is we need to start our old friendships when we are
young. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. We then have to nurture and grow those friendships over our middle age when a busy life and changing geographies can cause us to neglect those friends. Today is the day to invest in those people we hope will call us 'old friend" in the years to come.

What should move us to action is human dignity: the inalienable dignity of the oppressed, but also the dignity of each of us. We lose dignity if we tolerate the intolerable.

I think he had friendships with not only kids in the Camp Point and Southeastern area, but he had quite a few friendships with kids in the Quincy area, too.

While Tubby is a friend and he respects his work, Bernie doesn't know where that came from.
Rick Bonnell
I don't know that I ever wanted greatness, on its own. It seems rather like wanting to be an engineer, rather than wanting to design something--or wanting to be a writer, rather than wanting to write. It should be a by-product, not a thing in itself. Otherwise, it's just an ego trip.

We're here to pay our respects to a dear friend and his family. ... We're all saddened and shocked, ... It's a sad day for all of us, very surprising and very shocking.

The most successful marriages, gay or straight, even if they begin in romantic love, often become friendships. It's the ones that become the friendships that last.

We will miss him deeply as a friend and as a colleague. He was a good man who epitomized fairness, dignity and strength of character.

This morning I was practicing raga, and at one point I was singing a long tone and I became very peaceful and still. I thought this is really the highest point of music for me is to become in a place where there is no desire, no craving, wanting to do anything else, just to be in a state of being to the highest point.
Terry Riley
If he hits those kinds of shots, it's hard to get on your kids. There's the thing of not wanting to foul him and make him a 3-point or 4-point threat.
