I got a few kids on the block to help me, ... When we were done, I took them to '31 Flavors' for ice cream. I learned you can't do it all yourself. You need to have a team around you.

There's an ice cream place in Vancouver that has 200 flavors, if you can believe that. But the people who go there end up less satisfied with their purchase than the people who buy their ice cream at a place with only 20 flavors. Yet people are lined up out the door at the place with 200 flavors because it seems like you're more likely to get exactly what you want.

We create and taste ice cream flavors all day long, so we thought it would be nice to take a break and let someone else do our jobs for a while. We're looking for people to let loose and get funky in creating the next chunky ice cream. We can't wait to taste the results.

Everybody likes ice cream. People like different flavors.

The low fat doesn't sell it. It's the intensity of the flavors, the quality. There's a lot of bad ice cream out there.

During the whole thing we serve ice cream, too, Neapolitan or chocolate, vanilla or strawberry. Everything is custom blended off of ice cream flavors. You can pick a mask of marshmallow, caramel or chocolate for your feet and legs. The lotion is kiwi strawberry, chocolate or vanilla puree. It is so great. Eight block can work for some kids but not all. Every child should be given an environment to promote their learning. Self-starting kids thrive in eight block but also in seven period. The rest are being set up to fail in eight block.

[Among the cognoscenti, though, it is not just about elaborate new flavors.] I always consider the main test of ice cream to be the simple ice creams, especially vanilla, ... One should have fun when one eats, but it should also be seriously good.

It is clear that a majority of Americans could benefit from a little kick start in building their neighborhood relationships. Last year we invited neighbors to slow down and get to know one another over a scoop of our Slow Churned® Light Ice Cream. We are delighted to dish up fun and ice cream for another 1,500 block parties this summer.

Yeah, we did it (the chant). Ice cream is kind of an inside joke for our team. But this was not a day for ice cream. Not at all.

I'd like to have a kid, and I'd like to be driving around. I know a kid is going to be a big part of my life. I can trust my kid. I know my kid would be in the backseat of my car, and when I say "You wanna get some ice-cream?" he's going to be happy. My brother has kids. I see that trick work, the ice cream trick.

That was a lot of fun and they did really good. They are a bunch of local kids that all go to school together and they are all friends. We put a team together and the kids learned a lot this year. That's been a lot of fun teaching the kids this summer.

We stay hungry longer the more diverse the flavors in a meal or snack. If flavors are thoughtfully distributed, we fill up on fewer calories. This explains why, for instance, people can eat a holiday meal to the point of feeling unpleasantly full, yet still have room for dessert. No, that's not because you have a 'hollow leg.' It's because of sensory specific satiety; the hypothalamus is hard-wired to respond to flavors.

I think our kids learned a valuable lesson. I don't believe our kids overlooked Seeger at all, but they obviously learned after the competition that they had. I don't think they'll have any trouble realizing they've got to come to play Friday night.

He came in the last couple of weeks and really did a great job working with the kids. He worked with the big guys on low post moves and interior defense. The kids learned a lot. I learned a lot.
