We're trying to get them ready for life. It's an anti-gang mentoring program and we look at various ways to train young men 8 to 18.

The money will come in handy with our summer program, ... It will also allow us to train officers to stay current on gang activity.

The mentoring program is about long-term outcomes and solutions to homelessness. Mentoring helps break the cycle of homelessness.

We don't know if it's gang-related. I know that is a conclusion that a lot of folks want to jump to because you got two groups of young people, ... But, not all young people are members of gang.

This poll demonstrates that anti-war voters are significant enough in size to effect the outcome of elections -- if they become organized. Just like pro-gun groups have organized, pro-choice and pro-life groups have organized -- now the anti-war constituency has been identified and the peace movement is ready to organize them. This will ensure that the anti-war movement will no longer be one that can be ignored.

This is a new program and I think it is one that is needed in the county to train our young people.

What we're most proud of is are the young men and women that are sitting at these tables ... that are proof positive that this program is the most effective program in the nation when it comes to saving the next greatest generation. We all knew there was just one way to improve our odds for survival: train, train, train. Sometimes, if your training is properly intense it will kill you. More often -- much, much more often -- it will save your life.

I was called at an early age to minister to young people, but unfortunately I ran from God. I was a PK (preacher's kid), rebelled against my dad and made some mistakes in life. I joined a gang called the Latin Kings because of issues I had with my dad. I had some behavior problems during this time and was out of God's will, but He guarded me and protected me until I got serious through His word and realized that there is nothing greater on this Earth than God. God's mercy was on my life. I owe it all to Him.

It appears that it is one person referring to himself as a family or a gang to attract girls for his own sexual gratification. This is not a street gang but he uses the gang's name.

He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. Gang names, gang symbols, gang terminology is being used. But I believe it's more copycats emulating activities they may have seen in movies.

It's modeled after his life story, which is a story of a young man who sells drugs and (engages in) gang violence, and ultimately is successful with a rap career at the end of the movie,

That is not the way that the leadership of this program wants things represented. I want this to be a life lesson for him. We'll get through it and I have forgiven him, but when Ahmad's gone, there's some other young men in our program right now that all have to learn we never want to make those types of statements.

We train once a month for two hours. You hope you never have to do it but ... IP allows us to train for it. I think all big companies should have a program like we have. And I think everybody should take CPR classes.
