en Well, actors get very frustrated with giving control to other people. They have their own ideas and wants for their characters. Warren Beatty once told me that he thought actors ended up directing out of frustration. If you have a strong sense of how to communicate a film, you should direct. The problem is that it is a huge commitment. I'd rather direct a play than a film due to the time. A movie can tie you up for a year or more.

en I think that Christians should not bash this movie without seeing it. A lot of Christians in America think that homosexuality and abortion are the only sins that God cares about, and since this movie is about homosexuality it's automatically from the depths of Hell. Christians didn't put up this much fuss about a movie like Ocean's 11 that makes stealing look cool.

en I can look at one that Warner Brothers just did - The Iron Giant. A really cool movie. I truly enjoyed that movie.

en It is really cool to have created a movie that has turned out to become the biggest movie of the year.

en It's usually a little costly to do a movie instead of a tour. I don't make that much money in the movies. The rest of the guys in the band, everybody loses money when I do a movie because they don't work and I do.
