I'm surprised Intel has been able to run up as much as it has. News of a semiconductor recovery was factored in at a lower price,

[Hogan also likes Intel for a position in the semiconductor industry.] Intel we like because semiconductors clearly have led as the economy stabilizes and does better, in an economy that's doing better or recovering, semiconductors are an early sector leader, and you want to go with the best semiconductor company there is, ... So Intel is an obvious choice as a recovery play.

Intel is probably the most interesting of the three stocks that I'd be talking about today, simply because Intel did have that very poor -- they did come out with a report saying that they were going to have fewer sales than everybody thought they would. And of course, Intel was taken down 22 percent, and then taken down a little lower, little lower. Right now it's down quite a bit off its high for the year. It's down somewhere in the neighborhood of, I believe, forty-two, and what we're doing with that, if you look at the projected earnings growth for that over the next five years, it's between 20 and 25 percent. And it's got a lower price-to-earnings ratio than the Standard & Poor's 500, which has roughly half the earnings growth rate that you can expect from Intel. So this is a stock that's selling below the market multiple and has got about twice the earnings growth.

If you look at almost anything else semiconductor away from Intel, they're doing better today. People are viewing the semiconductor space as being strong in general and Intel is not the bellwether it was in the past.

Take out the Intel effect and I think Wall Street ended flat on Friday. Intel is factored in here, so investors should be more at ease about buying.

Intel is the leader in the semiconductor market. They're No. 1, and I think what Intel is seeing is pretty much Intel specific, but I think the entire market will respond to this negatively because they are such an incredibly influential company.

IBM is constantly looking for new ways to make storage more manageable and accessible for companies of all sizes.

A lot of the good news is already baked into the share price. We'd be on the sidelines and wouldn't put fresh money into Intel.

The ISM Services data saved us from the Intel news this morning. With Intel there has been a lot of negative news that was already built in, so some of it may have been priced in. Investors now see the services sector is still growing, which is relieving the pressure the market has been under.

Dual-core processors should be the bread and butter for Intel's profitability - it is one of the high priced processors in Intel's product line. Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. Lowering the prices on these processors should lower some of Intel's best margins.

Intel is obviously a bellwether that has to be paid attention to. The numbers were quite good and more importantly the guidance was good. This should put a floor under Intel's stock. But Intel's news doesn't change the larger picture for tech.
