I'm hoping for some maturity and experience from my pitchers, and we've got to be more consistent on defense and eliminate the big innings for our opponents.

Austin threw a great game and what can I say it was clutch hitting. Andy worked on some stuff in the cage and was swinging well in batting practice today. He got a hold of a couple today. I'm happy for him.

We're just trying to play the game right, and today we did.

It's always good to get a win, but especially right now with us losing a couple of games, to get us back on track.

It's such an important position that I needed to have someone back there who was familiar with the hitters and who could handle the pitchers. His best position is in the outfield, and I'm sure he'd rather be out there, but he's been pretty good about the change and he's doing a great job for us.
