We set the tone in the third quarter very early, and there was no doubt who was going to win that game.

He runs hard, he runs behind his pads, he protects himself pretty good. One guy can't get him down -- that's what makes him a great back.

This is a group we been working for four to five years, and our experience shows. We've taken the approach of not worrying about who we're playing, but just trying to get better each week. Up to this point, it has been fun to watch them. Now we have two of our toughest games coming up.

We're going to have to get away from the system as we know it and add one more game. Actually, it'd probably be good to have three or four undefeated teams every year and they would have to make a change, because there would be such an outcry. They're probably thinking it won't ever happen. But sooner or later you're going to have three or four teams that should be playing for it and not have the opportunity. So if you got a flaw in the system, it is easy to fix it.

You can't defense them. You can't do it. I'd hate to be calling defenses on the other side.

Obviously, we feel like there's one more vote. We'll be auditioning.

I was hoping we'd get a monsoon.

We're still light years away from having the offense we'll need to compete for a championship.

It was an advantage for us last year. When it all comes down to it, though, our guys will lay it on the line and their guys will lay it on the line. We won't hold anything back, and neither will they.

As coaches, we approach any game the same, whether it's a bowl game here or in Atlanta or New Orleans. But the thing we want to do is to make sure the guys enjoy it and have fun. It's supposed to be fun.

He won't play. I decided to leave him at home and let him catch up on his personal business. It's one of those things that you have to do sometimes, but he'll be back with us when we get back for school.

The rest of the week we'll get our legs back and start pulling back on the contact.

We tell them that they can stay out as long as they want as long as they can get up at 6 and practice real hard. That eliminates a lot of the things they can do at night.

We were a little skeptical of how we would play in our conference this year. We didn't have a lot of experience.
