Yahoo's strong performance this quarter, beating estimates and raising guidance, repeats its performance of the last three quarters and should eliminate doubts about the company's ability to generate and grow non-advertising revenues.

It's hard to see the stock pulling back in the fall even though the valuation is very high.

It looks like Amazon has guided conservatively for the second-quarter. They're forecasting net sales to grow between 22 and 31 percent. Expectations were for growth of about 33 percent for the quarter.

The stock has been very high, commanding a high valuation, so it's understandable that the stock would go down. Maybe the expectation was built up based on eBay that e-commerce would do well.
