We only had two more plays that series and then I came in the next series.

I don't think we've taken a couple steps back. I definitely think we're better than we were at the beginning of last season. But we haven't progressed like I think we should have. But it only takes game for that spark to go and for us to get back on track.

Last year was an embarrassment for us. We wanted to come out and make a statement. It was kind of a coming-out party for us.

I think he's still a big part of our offense. He's still out there. He hasn't made the plays that he made last year, but that's mainly because they double-team him and they have all kinds of schemes for him because he's a dangerous player. But I don't think we're hurt by that because we've got weapons all over the place.

Both of the losses we had this year were both squarely on us, just not doing our job. The other teams were very good and they played very well but, I'll still say it, I think we're the best team in the country. We just shot ourselves in the foot two games.

They're not afraid of anybody and they always hang around. We've got to be worried about that.

I don't think they're a pushover defense but I think it's really all about us, what we do. Nobody can stop us when we do what we do.

I know in 2003 we started thinking, man, if we just win out we can get back into the national championship and we kind of overlooked the biggest game of the year, which was the Michigan game.

I'm going to take advantage of every single one.
