Part of what's happening is to double-check these places because we need to find what needs to be done for remediation.

These homes had between several inches and several feet of water in them. But there are many small roads that go off the main highway into valleys with steep walls and streams. We don't yet know how many other homes may have sustained damage.

Most folks will stay with their relatives or friends when these things happen.

People are still cleaning up out there. We need to wait to see what the weather holds and to give people time to figure out what they need. We're looking at Thursday or Friday for our center.

Our main focus here is on the individual and the family and how they're suffering. Our job is now to coordinate all the help that is out there to help in the recovery effort.

It cut off people in this area, but they can't repair the road before they ease the pressure on this dam.

It just cleaned off everything in the area. It took off the top of the highway, too. There may have been some agricultural buildings in that area, too, but we're not sure.

It's now in danger of failing. They're slowly emptying that one now. We're also now looking at every dam in the state and figuring out where the danger areas are.

We estimate 120 homes were affected by that flooding, with six that sustained major damage.

I think that now will become a question when you're buying property.

There is a sense of urgency because of the possibility of another similar (weather) system starting next Wednesday. They'll focus on getting culverts, bridges and so forth cleaned.
