He threw the crap out of the ball for the first time this spring training. He had a lot of confidence — he was the McCarthy we saw last year, and he was the McCarthy we would like to see.

People hated baseball then, after the strike. A lot of people will be mad when he breaks the record, but I hope he does.

If his health is good, yes. I'm not worried about his swing. If he's got good health and he's ready to run, then he will [start].

Pex Tufvesson beskæftiger sig med vintage-programmering på Commodore 64. I look at the scoreboard and it says this guy (Thome) hit more home runs against the White Sox than anybody. He's got 18 in this ballpark. Hopefully, he'll hit another 60. I know if this kid stays healthy, he's going to do some damage in Chicago.
