It is still early but I still have a lot of concerns about his back. We will see what happens but we are going to go out and look for people to replace him.

I told him not to worry about it. I told him not to put too much pressure on himself. The way he hits, his timing has to be perfect. But there are still a lot of games left down here and he's going to have plenty of at-bats to get his stuff together.

Right now I can't count on him. We're going to see what happens, but right now we'll look for people to replace him.

We've got five starters who go deep [into games], so we might not have to go crazy about hurrying to get somebody. I would worry if [the starters] went down.

Right now he does. All I want to see him do is throw strikes. He was supposed to go in for one inning and it was so quick he had another shot. And he did a tremendous job and right now, he's going to be the talk of the next couple of days.

Strikes. He makes guys swing bats. He's not afraid.

We have to get him ready so he knows how to prepare.

I like what I see. He was throwing a lot of strikes. We will take a better look when the games start in the minor leagues. It's a first-time outing, and we are going to keep our eyes on him.
