In this league, it's all scoring at the right time. It changes the whole look of the game, if you get a goal at the right time. We've been getting those goals at the proper time and giving us momentum.

Everyone maybe getting used to each other and the team game. There's a lot more trust out on the ice ... players know their responsibilities a little bit more.

This was a terrific win. To go through what we've gone through, the guys really pulled together.

A shootout is a shootout. We go from a team game -- we had a terrific team game -- to an individual game. It's what fans want, but it's disheartening. We played 60 to 65 minutes, but it feels like a loss.

His better years, he was a top-10 scorer in the league. He's very creative, loves to be a playmaker. In fact, we'd always be on him to shoot more. Any organization would miss a player like that.

Once he has the surgery he'll be done for the season. I don't know the medical terms for it, but going in they have to repair the labrum and that takes time. There's a long rehab with it.

It was an entertaining game for the fans, and I thought the referees took it away. It was a good hard-fought game ... and to start handing out unsportsmanlike conducts for guys that didn't really say much ... Let the guys play.

Maybe my job is finding better shootout players. We haven't fared very well in shootouts. That's something you're able to gain extra points.
