Well, I was so sensitive to the week before, being called conservative,

I was going to come out and wing it around. It had nothing to do with the week before.

There's no reason to think he's not going to play this week.

Our depth in the secondary was not good last year.

We've made so many changes on defense in particular, and there are some new faces, that I kind of knew this was the way it was going to go. Sure enough, here we are.

He had been a good player for us. It seemed to me like he lost a little bit of his fire. That's just how it appeared to me. He wasn't the same enthusiastic young man that we drafted. That coupled with the new competition we had at his position. In fairness to everybody, we just did it that way.

I kind of thought he'd be back by now. It's a little more problematic than we thought. But he knows, and he's working real hard to get himself back. We'll probably accelerate that just a little bit.

He's the guy. He's been prepared to do this. If we'd have moved 'Chop' to guard, Sean would have been the tackle. I feel we can handle this until he [Womack] gets back.

I always approach it the same way,

Michael has good instincts and good breaks on the ball. He's not undisciplined. Some of those guys who seem to be where the action is all the time are a little bit undisciplined.

He was a little bit sick on Wednesday then felt better yesterday, ... In all likelihood he'll probably just stay home and we'll see him on Monday.

The whole thing with Ray is that we want to make sure that when he does come back, he comes back and we do the right thing, ... I will have to have the reins on him a little bit because he'll want to dive back in there and its probably not the prudent thing to do right away.
